Hospital Manager Cindy Trachten with Dog TuckerCindy has been a member of our team since we opened in 2008. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Western Connecticut State University. Cindy has been working in the animal field now for over 12 years. After working at our hospital as a Veterinary Technician for three years, Cindy accepted the position to become our Hospital Manager.

Outside of work, Cindy enjoys cooking and baking, crocheting, and spending time with her son, Grayson, her adorable daughter, Sophia, and her nieces and nephews. She has a Mini Dachshund named Templeton and a Shepherd Mix named Tucker. She also has three cats named Sylvester, Allison, and Marmalade.

Veterinary Technician Alissa Ray, LVTAlissa has been working at New Fairfield Animal Hospital since we opened our doors in 2008. She has always been passionate about animals and decided at a very young age that she wanted to get started with a career that helps them. Alissa is enthusiastic about all bully breeds and is always willing to open people's hearts and minds to these adoring, misunderstood canines.

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Connecticut State University and an Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology from Penn Foster College. When Alissa is not working, she enjoys bike riding and spending time with family and friends.

Veterinary Technician Carolyn Meyer, LVTCarolyn has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician for the past 28 years. She graduated from Becker College with a degree in Veterinary Technology. Carolyn is also a certified volunteer of the United Animal Nations Emergency Rescue Service. For the past seven years, she has been working with a board-certified veterinary surgeon performing anesthesia and surgical nursing. As a past practice manager, Carolyn takes pride in training future Veterinary Technicians and staff members.

She is also a volunteer at her local fire department, an EMT, and a past captain of the Ambulance Company. Carolyn lives in New York with her son, Nicolas, her dog Dublin and her cat Rosie. When she is not working, Carolyn enjoys snowboarding, hiking, travel, and spending time with her son and fiance Brian.

Veterinary Technician, Amanda Rivera, with a canine friendAmanda joined us as an intern in 2018. She came to us from Norwalk Community College where she had Dr. Brunner as a professor. She recently graduated with her Associates degree in Veterinary Technology and has joined our staff as a licensed veterinary technician. Amanda has a love for exotic animals and has volunteered at Birds of Prey Rescue.

Outside of work, Amanda loves to travel. Costa Rica is her favorite trip so far and, while she was there, she enjoyed ziplining and hiking through the rainforest. In her spare time, she enjoys watching Planet Earth, The Office, and Steve Irwin reruns with her dog, Milo. When Amanda isn't working here or doing rescue work, she bartends in Shelton.

Veterinary Assistant Priscilla VanderlindenPriscilla has been a veterinary assistant at New Fairfield Animal Hospital since we opened in 2008. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Clearwater Christian College and previously worked in the mental health field. She enjoys hiking, reading, and taking care of the animals that come to our hospital!



Veterinary Assistant Ashli Munoz Ashli joined our team in April 2015. She loves everything about the animal field and couldn't imagine doing anything else. Ashli always strives to show the same compassion she has for her own pets to each of our patients!

At home, Ashli is owned by her two dogs, Chepe, a feisty Miniature Schnauzer (who also brought along a husband), and Kolbi, a mellow Husky Mix from Costa Rica. She also recently adopted another fur baby, Emma, a Shepherd Mix. When Ashli's not taking her pets for a swim or a hike on local trails, she can be found snapping photos, planning a trip, or tackling a DIY project.

staff mary kate mckenna Mary Kate has been working in the veterinary field for the past eight years and joined our team in May 2016. Some of her special interests include emergencies, surgery, and client education.

In Mary Kate's spare time she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Mike, who is a Waterbury firefighter, her twin daughters, Ariana and Gianna, and her youngest daughter, Lilliana. She loves going to the zoo and the aquarium, cooking, and, if there's time, redecorating her new home. In addition to her three children, Mary Kate also has two cats at home, Crookshanks and Sonny!

receptionist Courtney MacklinAfter growing up in New Fairfield, Courtney went on to receive a BFA from Hofstra University and an A.S. in Animal Managagement from Niagara County Community College. She worked aas a zoo keeper at the Buffalo zoo for over seven years, then at Disney's Animal Kingdom for another two years. Some of her favorite animals to work with included sea lions, hippos, and capybara.

Courtney moved to New Milford in July of 2018 when she joined the team here at New Fairfield Animal Hospital. She loves cuddling with her fur-sisters, two beagles named Molly and Daisy. In her free time Courtney enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing, and crossfit!

vet asst kerry Kerry joined our team in June 2019. She originally started as an intern, as she is currently completing her Veterinary Technology degree through Norwalk Community College. Since she was such a great addition to our team, we decided to welcome her on as a veterinary assistant. You will also see her smiling face greeting you up at the front desk!

Kerry loves working with animals and worked in shelter medicine for several years before deciding to further her career and complete her degree in veterinary technology! She has two dogs of her own, Chelsea and Jaxon.

Groomer Donna CyrDonna is our resident groomer at The Pet Spa. She is a certified pet groomer and acquired her certification through the Connecticut K-9 Education Center. Donna has been with us for the past three years and has been a valued asset to our team for her ability to build solid relationships with pet owners through communication and listening to their needs. Donna takes pride in always doing her best in each and every groom, caring for even the most difficult dogs with patience and respect. In her spare time, Donna loves to visit family and friends, read, and just relax and watch a good TV show.

 Donna has a Rottweiler/Hound Mix named Chester, a Golden Retriever named Rex, and two cats, Bailey and Pickles.

Pet Groomers Pinky and John NathansJohn and Pinky are Donna's Grooming Assistants. They joined our team in September 2012, bringing with them a mutual love for animals. They have been married for 43 years and have six children and 14 grand children! They are always smiling and brightening everyone's day!
